The start of a new year always brings renewed energy, and January has already proven to be a month of momentum for Verdant Valor Sanctuary. As we step into 2026, we do so grounded in purpose, strengthened by the progress of the past several months, and optimistic about what lies ahead.
After an eventful close to 2025, January has marked a shift from planning to action. The work happening now is laying the groundwork, literally and figuratively, for the future home of VVS.
Land Search Underway
On January 1, 2026, began walking potential land parcels alongside our real estate agent. Starting the year on the land itself felt symbolic and energizing. These early site visits help us better understand how location, terrain, access, and zoning align with our long-term vision for Verdant Valor Sanctuary.
We remain optimistic and intentional in this process, trusting that the right land (one that can support healing, agriculture, and community) will reveal itself at the right time.
Digital Presence Launched
January also marked the official launch of Verdant Valor Sanctuary’s social media platforms. This step allows us to begin sharing our story more broadly, building community awareness, and inviting supporters to follow along as the sanctuary takes shape. These platforms will serve as a space for transparency, education, and connection as we grow.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
Behind the scenes, budgeting and financial projections are actively underway. These efforts are focused on ensuring sustainability, aligning resources with our phased development plan, and preparing for future funding opportunities. Thoughtful financial planning now will allow us to build responsibly and with long-term stability in mind.
Why This Moment Matters
January represents more than a new calendar year; it represents momentum. Since August, Verdant Valor Sanctuary has progressed from concept to structure: governance development, brand identity, partnerships, research, and now land exploration. Each step brings us closer to creating a place where Veterans and Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities can find purpose, connection, and healing through nature.
